Mr Wharton traveled to Strasbourg to study higher level wrist arthroscopy (key hole surgery inside the wrist joint) under the supervision of Christophe Mathoulin and Ahlam Arnaout from the Institut de la Main, Paris. Their group has pioneered minimally invasive methods of treating multiple wrist sports injuries including scapholunate ligament instability.
