Mr Wharton won the prestigious British Orthopaedic Association Soli Lam Travelling Fellowship Award for 2021/22. As part of the award he visited the prestigious Institut Kaplan, Barcelona where he learned about advanced wrist arthroscopy techniques and surgery for severely injured fingers.
